Special. This wedding was so special to me. The wedding, the couple, the day...and especially the location. You see...this is where my husband and I got married on a crisp day in January, over 5 years ago. It was so good to be back in the library...maybe it's just the nerdy attorney in me, but there's just something about the smell of old books that really makes my heart flutter.
Jon and Kelly are so sweet and sincere. Despite their rainy day, they were cheerful and cooperative the entire day. It was apparent that they were just happy to be getting hitched...and believe me, this is a match made in heaven...as demonstrated by their wedding gifts to each other. Unbeknownst to either of them...they gave each other the same wedding gift... a brown leather journal, with love notes written on the inside. I about died when I realized it...

The guys had so much fun doing the dance party...they did it again...I love it...

See Kelly...a little risk goes a long way...

Ok...there are no words to describe the amount of adorableness below...

Kelly hand-made tons and tons of flowers out of books...all different shapes, sizes and styles...my jaw dropped when I saw them. I was smitten.

Quite possibly the best dessert I've eaten at a wedding...SUPER delicious...and so classy...

Ok - I have so many favorite pictures from their day...but this one is my favorite favorite...

May the two of you be forever blessed in life and love.

One of the best parts of what I do is watching babies grow...not only my own...but all of the little families' I have grown to love and work with...Baby C is no exception to this. Check out the little video I made for her adorable family...

Irish. There was a bit of an Irish flare to their wedding...just a hint of it...but it was enough to make me drool a little. The black velvet paired with the forest green plaid had me going a little nuts. I loved it. Hannah and Jeremy had their wedding ceremony at Northwestern's Nazareth Chapel. As always, it was breath taking...especially in the cold crisp air and fresh snow.
The vintage-looking lace on Hannah's dress was absolutely stunning...

Jeremy does the serious face like it's his job. I love it.

Cathedral veils make the most dramatic first looks...so beautiful...

Hannah may be one of the most gorgeous brides I have ever taken a photo of...on the inside and out...

When I saw their little boy all dressed up for the wedding (and his baptism) I about fainted...he stole my heart...

Can it get any cuter!?

Look at their beautiful shawls...I wanted to wear one too...would that have been weird?

Ok...if you remember them from their engagement session (here)...then you'll know Hannah and Jeremy have a love for country music...and so, my typical dance party went a little country and featured the 'Cotton Eye Joe'...

The bride had a request...it involved a bathtub...

The bridal suite at the College Club is very whimsical...

The beautiful white linens and chairs with the green and white table adornments made their reception feel clean and crisp and very romantic...

Their night shots came at the perfect time...as the snow started lightly falling...it was peaceful and quiet...and serene...

Hannah and Jeremy...may your little family be blessed beyond measure...
Many thanks to my beautiful friend Jes Smith for photographing this wedding with me!
At almost 8 1/2 months pregnant...I appreciated all of the help I could get lugging my heavy gear around and running all over the place...

We were very disappointed with the two different photographers we used for our daughters' weddings.
These photos are amazing!!! I'm sure Hannah & Jeremy are delighted.
KUDOS!!

'The Freeze'. It's his nickname. I'm still not 100% sure why...but it works. And it totally worked for their wintery wedding. Jenny and Adam picked one of the last days of 2012 for their day...and it had the holiday feel to it...without being overboard. It also had that crisp winter air that makes one feel like they can't quite breathe in a full breath, without succumbing to pneumonia...but they and their entire wedding party were complete troopers when we were outside. It was a blast.
They began their day at the St. Paul Hotel...and in and around Rice Park...which is a special place for me...especially at this time of the year...(for those of you who don't know, 5 years ago, I married my hubby in early January at the J.J. Hill Library on the other side of the park)...

You know me...I'm a sucker for Badgley Mischka...ugh...one of these days a bride is going to look for her shoes, only to find them missing...

True Minnesotan's grin and bear it in the winter...Jenny's my kind of girl...

The dip...perfected. Notice the sparkling branches in the background?? This is winter at it's finest...

Ok...I've posted a lot of kissing pictures of them, I'll admit it...but it is so stinking cute the way he kisses her, I can't help it.

Jenny...you could not be more gorgeous...

This group of girls was absolutely amazing...what a fun, fun day...and yep...they're completely sleeveless...but they at least have matching gloves...

This. Is. Class.

Adam is all about the photobomb...keep your eye out for it...more to come...

They had their beautiful ceremony at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul...for years, I had been dying to photograph a wedding in here, because I lived on the same block. The week we closed on our house and moved out...was the week I finally got to photograph there...funny how things like that work...

Photobomb.

I have to add that Jenny hand picked and painted all of the pinecones used on their wedding day...I was flabbergasted when she told me...it was fabulous...

Supposedly 'The Freeze' is obsessed with his six pack and being shirtless....I waited around for the shirt to come off...but I must admit...I never saw any proof of this statement...

This venue is the most perfect spot if you have a live band and love to dance...the dance floor is phenomenal...

Adam and Jenny...thank you for putting your trust in me with your day...
I'm so glad you did...and so happy to have gotten the chance to get to know you lovely people...

Wonderland. It truly was a winter wonderland for Brent and Aimee's wedding day. And it wasn't just any type of snow that we had just received...it was the beautiful, light, sparkly snow...the kind that makes you remember why you live in Minnesota...and actually appreciate the beauty of winter.
This beautiful wedding took place in the little town of Owatonna at the Gainey Center. This was my first time having been there...and it was almost magical. This center is full of history and elegance. It was just the type of vintage location that Aimee pictured for her wedding day. Between her beautiful lace dress, their quaint, candle-lit ceremony, and their intimate guest list...everything felt like a dream. Brent and Aimee are a match to be certain, and the love between them and their families was heart-melting.

The most elegant setting for a first look...

Aimee made one stunning, wintery bride. Her fair skin and beautiful lip shade were breathtaking.

This was the extent of their wedding party...and I loved it...they were adorable together.

This little church is the place where Aimee's parents and her brother all were married...

The candle-lit reception was romantic and intimate...and I must rave about the amazing meal that was served here...it was out of this world.

And then the ring bearer crashed...the poor little guy had a long day...

Brent and Aimee...thank you so much for letting me witness such a beautiful day and be a part of your love story...it was truly beautiful.
