Blessed. Truly blessed. Yesterday's wedding was a testament to why I do what I do. Why I left what I thought I was meant to do...to do what I longed to do... this family means more to me than I can even begin to describe. And I was truly honored to be a part of their day. So...for the moment...I just want to say thank you...and to post a little peak of what was one of the most amazing weddings I have ever been a part of... thank you Katie and Kevin.

Laughing. I do a lot of laughing when I'm with this couple. Mark's sense of humor is right up my alley...and he is a genuine ham...it is so fun to hang out with him...and watch him make Mary laugh. And her laugh. It is rich. It is the kind of laugh that sounds like music.
This couple is seriously amazing. They make the world a better place just by being in it. And you can tell....they were literally surrounded by friends and family at their wedding...who were so wonderful, supportive and fun. It truly has been a blessing to get to know them...
Mary's dress was so her...it was elegant and classy...and her shoes....oh, those shoes. Jimmy Choo...please wait while I wipe the drool off my chin...

This is what I'm talking about.....I. Love. This.

Mary....one word...gorgeous.

Mark and Mary are HUGE Hawkeyes fans...so their theme coordinated with that...right down to the socks...

This awesome alley...I about died when I found it and it's lighting...and Mary about died when I made her go in it...but...it was so worth it!

Thank you boys....this is the money shot.

So...someone forgot his pair of socks at home...but these guys were so giving...one of them gave up a sock to let him in on the fun...and it caused a bit of laughter. It's the moments like this that make the day memorable. Things don't need to be perfect...

A moment of revery after the ceremony...

This is what I meant when I said they were surrounded by friends...above them on the second level...all of their friends lined up along the railing...something about it gave me the shivers...it was heat-warming to hear them all cheer this amazing couple on...

Mark and Mary...what else can I say...besides...Go Hawkeyes!?

They probably think I'm nuts. I started screaming when I heard it. I woke up with a song in my head on the day of their wedding...and ironically, it was the same song that his sisters sang at their ceremony...so it really cemented it in my head that these lyrics are meant to be...and are so them...
When the rain
Is blowing in your face
And the whole world
Is on your case
I could offer you
A warm embrace
To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows
And the stars appear
And there is no - one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love
I know you
Haven't made
Your mind up yet
But I would never
Do you wrong
I've known it
From the moment
That we met
No doubt in my mind
Where you belong
I'd go hungry
I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling
Down the avenue
Know there's nothing
That I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love
The storms are raging
On the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change
Are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing
Like me yet
I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends
Of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love, To make you feel my love
~Bob Dylan

Forever. That's how long I feel like we've been friends. Sandie and her sister Stephanie are some of the best friends I have ever had...so when Sandie got engaged to Ryan...I couldn't help but have that bubbling feeling of excitement for her.
It was her dream to have a wedding that was simple, elegant...and so her...and she accomplished that...with so much class I can't even describe it. From the vintage blues and peaches...to the feathers in her hair and the lovely bridesmaid dresses...this wedding was stunning.

This is all Sandie...I can just hear her talking to her mom as I look at this picture.

Noelle, once again you captured the warmth and beauty of the day! Thanks for the great images of Sandie's bouquet and the big babies breath centerpieces--the only "snow" we had! Who'd a thought?
