Their wedding took place on a cold and very windy day in April.  But it was ok.  They had planned ahead and knew they were going to be doing a Day After session with me later in the summer...so there was no feeling of panic about the pictures.  Day After sessions can be perfect for winter couples or couples who get the blessing of rain on the day of their wedding...or for anyone who wants to put their dress back on again and try some new scenery...they are just plain fun.

Alex and Doug are all smiles.  Honestly...getting them to do a serious face is like asking Kelly Rippa to eat a doughnut...it just doesn't seem natural.  But, I made them do a few anyway...mostly because I like watching people try.

It was literally the Day After their wedding....in fact, the morning after...despite their tiredness, they woke up, put their wedding attire back on...we grabbed a taxi and ventured out into the peaceful Mexican morning....to get some pictures...and celebrate their newly said vows...

If you build it...they will come...  yes.  Terrible movie.  My french bulldog is a better actor than Kevin Costner...but this saying was just too good to pass up this time.  I had a vision for a photoshoot with an antique bed frame and a field.   It was calling out to me.  I would close my eyes...and all I could see was this scene.  So, I started poking around, collecting, calling...and eventually got the goods I needed to make my dream a reality. 

Jess and Erik wanted a Day After session...and so, it worked out perfectly to combine my dream with theirs...and let the creativity flow.  In 2010 I had a lot of amazing clients and countless amazing photoshoots...but this by far was my favorite shoot of the entire year.

The ever fabulous Liane Laurion from Hyacinth Events created this breathtaking bouquet and the boutonniere for the day...she is so amazing...

Erik's dog Marley was the most well behaved dog....

until he ran and jumped in an absolute mud pit...I could not believe it when I saw him come out...and no one wanted him near them...especially the bride in her diamond white dress...
