Sometimes people enter your life for a reason.  Perhaps at the most needed moment.  Perhaps because it is all part of a bigger plan. It is impossible to know for sure why...but you just know it. For me, Sally is one of those people.  After saying goodbye to my job last year (I cannot believe it has already been a year!) and to all of the amazing people I had worked with, I was looking for friends in the industry who would be supportive and offer that same old feeling of comfort and comrade-ship (what? that's probably a real word).  I think as photographers we can often get caught up in the competition of it all instead of focusing on collaboration...but with Sally...it is more about shooting the breeze, talking politics, joking about our daily lives...and now, talking about the joys of parenthood.  I'm so thankful to have a friend like her, who proves that it is possible to dedicate an insane amount of energy and emotion to your business...all while raising a happy family and being an awesome mom.  Not to mention...she is an amazingly talented photographer.  She may not realize it, but I really do look to her for inspiration in my life.

It was such an honor for me to capture her family and her life at this moment in time...where she works and lives...right next to her beautiful studio...

OK.  I'm so glad she didn't kill me for this...but I brought a peace offering for the boys to the session...and it was hilarious to watch them try to eat their gigantic whirly pops....then again, I'm not the one who had to do their laundry that night...

Sally, you are so glamorous...you should be on the other side of the camera more often...

Tim's main concern was getting a jumping picture for Facebook...who says white guys can't jump?

where to begin?!? I am so incredibly thankful for these photos. this is the first time we have been photographed together, can you believe it? I'm madly in love with each and every photo. This is the greatest gift I could receive... photos of those most important to me. I adore you and can't wait to "mom" together! Years of friendship to come...

Those are adorable pictures! Also - Noelle, La Vie did our wedding photography! We couldn't afford Sally, unfortunately, but worked with one of her awesome assistants. Beautiful family, awesome photography as always!
