Her name is Maranda...but I know her as Mandi. She is super sweet, super nice...and super excited to be engaged! And why wouldn't she be?? She is engaged to Mike...and Mike is pretty dang cute.
Mandi and I grew up in a very small town and went to neighboring high schools. Our high schools were so small that they combined to make one sports team...the schools also combined for all of their dances, proms, and high school events. Between the two schools, there were still less than 80 kids per grade. (I graduated with 30). But it's nice, because you know everyone. And it's terrible...because you know everyone. This is how it is in a small school. There is a very fragile balance living and growing up in a small town.
Mandi was one of those girls that everyone liked. As I said...she is super sweet...super nice...and just plain wonderful. I was so excited when she contacted me to photograph her wedding in Duluth next summer. I can't wait.
Mandi wanted a winter engagement shoot. After several cancellations due to freezing cold temperatures...we went for it...even though it was STILL freezing cold. I mean..even our eyelashes were getting frosty. While my feet are still thawing out...I think it was worth it....and lucky for us...the St. Paul Winter Carnival was set up...and the ice sculptures were awesome!

Happy Friday everyone!!
